Plant Description

Acer campestre, known as the Field Maple, is a compact deciduous tree with a dense, rounded crown, perfect for small gardens and hedging. Its five-lobed leaves are a deep green in summer, turning a warm golden-yellow in autumn, creating a stunning seasonal display. The smooth, grey-brown bark becomes corky with age, adding texture to its appearance. In spring, clusters of small, yellow-green flowers emerge, followed by paired winged samaras that mature in autumn. Field Maple is resilient and tolerant, thriving in various soil types and urban environments.
