Eriosyce occulta OLD PLANT K300

Eriosyce occulta is a fascinating cactus species native to the coastal deserts of northern Chile. This plant is typically globular to slightly cylindrical and grows mostly underground, with only the apex visible. The above-ground portion of older plants can appear woody and rough. The body is dark green to brownish-green and features prominent tubercles and short, stout spines. The flowers are funnel-shaped, usually pink to purplish, and bloom from the apex of the plant. Eriosyce occulta is well adapted to arid, rocky environments, thriving in well-draining soils and requiring minimal water.
