Encephalartos dyerianus (1 leaf seedling)
Plant Description
The Encephalartos dyerianus is a rare, majestic cycad known for its bluish-green, stiff, arching fronds that grow in a compact rosette. Its pinnate leaves feature sharp, spiny leaflets that give the plant a striking, architectural form. This slow-growing species can reach heights of up to 2 meters and is often admired for its large, conical cones—male and female cones are produced on separate plants. Endemic to Limpopo Province in South Africa, it thrives in rocky, well-drained soils and is highly prized by collectors for its unique coloration and ancient lineage.
