Ehretia dicksonii
Plant Description
Ehretia dicksonii, commonly known as the Dickson’s Ehretia or Ping-pong Tree, is a deciduous tree native to East Asia, valued for its ornamental foliage and striking appearance. At the 20-40 cm size, this young tree begins to show its characteristic broad, ovate leaves, which are bright green and have a soft, velvety texture. As it matures, Ehretia dicksonii produces clusters of small, fragrant white to pale yellow flowers in late spring, followed by round, orange-yellow berries that persist into winter, attracting birds. This tree is appreciated for its delicate form and beautiful autumn color, where the foliage turns a warm yellow.
