Plant Description

Dasylirion texanum, commonly known as the Texas Sotol, is a hardy evergreen succulent known for its rosette of long, slender, and serrated blue-green leaves. This plant typically grows to a height of 1-1.5 meters, forming a dense, spherical clump. The leaves are tough and fibrous, ending in sharp tips and often curling slightly at the ends. In summer, Texas Sotol produces a tall flower spike, reaching up to 3 meters, adorned with small, cream-colored flowers. This drought-tolerant plant is ideal for xeriscaping and adds a striking architectural element to landscapes with its unique form and texture.
