Copiapoa hypogaea x hypogaea 'Lizard Skin' is a hybrid cactus known for its unique, textured appearance. This plant typically forms low, clumping mounds with stems that are globular to short cylindrical, measuring up to 5 cm in diameter. The "Lizard Skin" variety is characterized by its rough, bumpy epidermis, resembling reptile skin, in shades of brownish-green to gray. The surface is covered with tubercles, and each areole bears small, dark spines. In summer, it produces small, yellow flowers that emerge from the top of the stems, adding a splash of color to its distinctive texture.
