This cactus forms clumps of small, globular to short-cylindrical stems that are blue-green to grayish in color. The stems have pronounced ribs and tubercles with areoles that produce dense clusters of short, sharp spines ranging from white to brown. The plant produces small, yellow flowers typical of Copiapoa species, which bloom near the apex of the stems. This hybrid thrives in arid environments, mirroring the conditions of its parent species in the Atacama Desert.
