Plant Description

The Cercis siliquastrum, commonly known as the Judas Tree, is a striking deciduous tree celebrated for its vibrant pink-magenta flowers that bloom in clusters along bare branches in early spring. Native to Southern Europe and Western Asia, its rounded, heart-shaped green leaves emerge after flowering, creating a lush canopy that turns soft yellow in autumn. The tree also produces flat, reddish seed pods that persist into winter. Its compact size, sculptural form, and ornamental appeal make the Judas Tree a favorite in gardens and landscapes.
