Plant Description

Astrophytum myriostigma var. nudum, also known as bishop’s cap cactus, is a striking succulent reaching up to 6cm in height at this juvenile stage. This variety is notable for its smooth, spineless surface, which is devoid of the characteristic white dots seen in other Astrophytum species. The cactus has a geometric, star-shaped appearance with five distinct ribs. Its green to blue-green skin is often lightly marked with small, fuzzy areoles. In late spring to early summer, it produces large, yellow flowers with orange centers, adding a vibrant touch to its minimalistic form.
