Ariocarpuus kotschoubeyanus (Tanquecillos, Nuevo Leon MEXICO) L73
Product Description
Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus 'Tanquecillos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico' is a distinct variant from the desert regions of Tanquecillos in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. This cactus is highly valued for its survival adaptations in extremely arid conditions. It has a compact, flat, and somewhat rounded body that stays mostly underground, with only the top visible, helping it conserve moisture and protect from heat. The surface is covered with closely packed, triangular tubercles that are greyish-green, giving it a rugged texture. During autumn, it blooms with small, delicate pink flowers that create a striking contrast against its subdued base.
