Plant Description

Abies alba, commonly known as the European silver fir, is a majestic coniferous tree native to the mountainous regions of Europe. It can reach impressive heights of up to 50 meters with a straight, columnar trunk and a dense, conical crown. The bark is smooth and grayish, becoming scaly with age. Its needle-like leaves are dark green with two white stomatal bands on the underside, giving the tree a distinctive silvery appearance. Cones are cylindrical and upright, maturing from green to brown. This tree is not only a stunning addition to landscapes but also an important species for timber and reforestation projects.
