Copiapoa caldera var. spinosior (Punta Salado, Atacama, CHILE) C867
Product Description
Copiapoa caldera var. spinosior is a remarkable cactus native to the Punta Salado region in the Atacama Desert of Chile. This cactus forms dense clusters of globular to short cylindrical stems, each reaching up to 15 cm in height and 8 cm in diameter. The stems are a striking blue-grey to greenish color, often coated with a fine white powder, giving them a frosted appearance. Prominent ribs run along the stems, adorned with clusters of long, sharp, dark spines. In summer, Copiapoa caldera var. spinosior produces small, funnel-shaped yellow flowers at the apex of the stems, adding a vibrant touch to its rugged and spiny form.
